Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems, based in Alaska, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead renewables and infrastructure projects from contract through closeout. You’ll own schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change orders, ensuring margin and contract compliance while coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

Based in Anchorage or Fairbanks with travel to rural Alaska sites, you’ll oversee subcontractors, logistics, and risk mitigation, delivering complex

Qualifications

  • Seven+ years of progressive project management experience.
  • Experience managing construction, infrastructure, or energy projects through execution and closeout.
  • Experience managing project budgets of $1 million or more, including forecasting, cost tracking, and financial accountability.
  • Strong experience managing subcontractors, schedules, competing priorities, and project risk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple renewable energy and infrastructure projects from contract execution through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, change orders, and financial reporting while maintaining margin and contractual discipline.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and long-lead material planning to ensure projects are ready before mobilization.
  • Select, manage, and hold subcontractors accountable for scope, safety, quality, schedule, and performance.
  • Serve as the primary project contact for village leadership, local stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring expectations and responsibilities remain clear.
  • Plan and oversee complex rural-Alaska logistics, including freight, staging, barges, air transport, equipment, workforce, and material mobilization.
  • Identify project, supply-chain, schedule, and field risks early and implement practical mitigation strategies before they affect execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with applicable contractual, safety, code, and quality requirements.
