Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems in Alaska seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead renewable energy and infrastructure projects from contract execution through closeout, including cost control and stakeholder coordination.

You will manage schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change orders while ensuring quality and safety on remote construction sites across rural Alaska. Extensive travel and irregular hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive project management experience.
• Experience managing project budgets of $1 million or more.
• Strong experience managing subcontractors, schedules, competing priorities, and project risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewable energy and infrastructure projects from contract execution through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Own schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and long-lead material planning for mobilization.
• Select and manage subcontractors for scope, safety, quality, schedule, and performance.
• Serve as primary project contact for village leadership, local stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
• Plan and oversee complex rural-Alaska logistics, including freight, staging, barges, air transport, equipment, workforce, and material mobilization.
• Identify project, supply-chain, schedule, and field risks early and implement practical mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with contractual, safety, code, and quality requirements.
