Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems in Alaska is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead renewable energy and infrastructure projects from contract execution through commissioning and closeout.

Based in Anchorage or Fairbanks with intermittent travel to rural Alaska sites, you will own project schedules and budgets, manage subcontractors, coordinate engineering, procurement and field teams, and ensure safety, quality and on‑time delivery in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive project management experience.
• Demonstrated success managing construction, infrastructure, or energy projects through execution and closeout.
• Experience managing project budgets of $1 million or more, including forecasting and cost tracking.
• Strong experience managing subcontractors, schedules, competing priorities, and project risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple renewable energy and infrastructure projects from contract execution through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Own project schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, change orders, and financial reporting while maintaining margin and contractual discipline.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and long-lead material planning to ensure projects are ready before mobilization.
• Select, manage, and hold subcontractors accountable for scope, safety, quality, schedule, and performance.
• Serve as the primary project contact for village leadership, local stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring expectations and responsibilities remain clear.
• Plan and oversee complex rural-Alaska logistics, including freight, staging, barges, air transport, equipment, workforce, and material mobilization.
