Job summary

Golden Valley Electric Association in Healy, Alaska seeks a Healy Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day plant operations and a dedicated team, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant power generation.

The starting annual salary is $126,585, with a strong benefits package that includes a defined pension, 401(k) match, health and life insurance, disability coverage, annual leave, wellness program, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of operations experience in an industrial coal-fired plant or related.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
• Experience with labor contract administration preferred.
• Contractor supervision experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day operations activities.
• Maintain the EAM maintenance management system and review work requests.
• Monitor the progress of preventive and corrective work orders.
• Conduct near miss and accident investigations and communicate findings.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on subordinates' performance and activities.
