Job summary

Airgas in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet and equipment. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and on-call support to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has highway equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED and may hold a CDL A with Hazmat; on-site work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Compensation is $35.00/hr.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three+ years experience in highway equipment maintenance.
• CDL A with Hazmat preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Chrome, fleet software, OEM diagnostics and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review maintenance schedules for equipment and pump systems.
• Follow inspection checklists for brakes, steering, transmissions and other parts.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks and lubrication.
• Respond to on-call emergency maintenance requests beyond hours when needed.
• Diagnose and repair OEM computer systems and wiring; install PeopleNet OBC.
• Read equipment condition reports to plan maintenance and manage costs.
