Job summary

UIC Commercial Services is seeking a Health, Safety, Environmental, and Training (HSET) Manager based in Anchorage to strengthen corporate and subsidiary HSET programs. You will manage safety inspections, training systems, and incident/claims processes, collaborating with stakeholders across the UIC family.

The role requires overseeing environmental programs, Hazmat considerations, and regulatory adherence, with frequent Alaska travel to remote locations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in safety management, environmental science, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of safety, health, or environmental program administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate HSET program management and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain training matrices and content for safety training programs.
• Conduct safety and environmental inspections at corporate and headquarters locations.
• Oversee claims management and coordinate with adjusters and insurers.
• Assist in incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
