Job summary

AIT is seeking a Field Supervisor to base out of the Anchorage or Palmer, AK offices. The role will primarily be a field assignment across Alaska, reporting to the Construction Manager. Travel is required up to 75%, with workdays potentially extending to 12 hours during travel.

The hourly rate is $75.00 per hour. The position includes a competitive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) with a 3% match, PTO, and company-paid holidays.

Qualifications

• This job requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 15 years of experience supervising construction crews.
• OSHA 30 hr certification is required or obtainable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be covered under company vehicle policy.
• Background check and pre-employment drug test are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field personnel and coordinate tasks to meet timelines and budget.
• Inspect work progress and equipment for safety and specifications.
• Read blueprints to plan construction requirements and procedures.
• Estimate materials and staff needs for each job.
• Coordinate with managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Schedule and oversee subcontractors and field activities.
