Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, Alaska, seeks an Internal Medicine physician (MD/DO) to deliver full-scope outpatient primary care in a collaborative, team-based clinic co-located with a modern critical access hospital. The role offers a health-system with advanced technology, a Monday–Friday schedule, and telemedicine support.

You’ll work with a p rimary care team, EMR tools like Meditech and Dragon for documentation, and a patient load designed to 18 visits per day.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Board-certified or board-eligible.
• Active Alaska license or ability to obtain.
• BLS required and ACLS encouraged.
• New graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest quality evidence-based medical care to SEARHC patients.
• Guide and supervise Advanced Practice Clinicians.
• Lead a panel of internal medicine patients.
• Document all patient services in the EMR per staff rules.
• Participate in SEARHC quality and performance improvement programs.
• Provide medical education to visiting students and residents.
• Maintain licensure and board certification via ongoing CME.
• Provide services at facilities within SEARHC care network as needed.
• Collaborate with onsite and visiting specialists.
