Job summary

HDR Alaska Transportation Group is seeking an energetic Area Bridges & Structures Business Class Leader in Anchorage to lead the transportation bridges and structures team, shaping technical excellence and client outcomes. You will mentor staff, coordinate staffing, and drive quality in a challenging, multi-market portfolio.

Strong leadership, a civil/structural engineering background, and at least 10 years of relevant experience are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or closely related field.
10 years of experience leading transportation projects and teams in this market.
Strong leadership and project management skills with budgeting and scope development.
Experience in contract development and proposal preparation is preferred.
Active involvement in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise.

Responsibilities

Provide Area leadership of technical capabilities within the Bridges and Structures Business Class.
Manage project staffing/resourcing, workload and BC utilization with PMs and Area Transportation Manager.
Deliver technically focused skills, consult on project requirements, and supervise BC staff.
Maintain QA/QC procedures and best practices.
Support area pursuits and participate in proposal development.
Plan for project needs and recruit staff; drive BC growth and client satisfaction.
