Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Kalispell, MT seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to service and inspect security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, interpret blueprints, and complete documentation while traveling to client sites as required.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently with strong technical knowledge.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to work independently and complete standard service jobs without direct supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work efficiently and safely.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Use of hand tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
