Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician in Wichita, KS to perform maintenance and service on alarm and suppression systems. You will diagnose issues, complete service calls, and ensure compliance with codes while documenting inspections and reports.

The role requires 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently. A clean driving record and NICET Level I+ are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm and suppression systems independently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions.

• Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform required tasks.

• Identify potential system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
