Job summary

Federal Protection is hiring a security systems service technician to maintain and repair security equipment in commercial and residential settings in Missouri. You will diagnose malfunctions, replace faulty components, and ensure systems such as alarms, gates, and CCTV operate correctly.

The role requires safety compliance, good teamwork, and accurate record-keeping. Work is Monday–Friday with on‑call rotation; training is provided for all technology and devices.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience equivalent to required skill set.
• Minimum of two years work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes malfunctions and repairs defective components using manuals.
• Replaces defective electronic, electrical, and mechanical parts with hand tools.
• Tests equipment to ensure defects are corrected.
• Complies with federal, state, and local laws applicable to position and employment.
• Complies with company policies and expectations for a safe, productive workplace.
• Maintains accurate timesheets and paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Under general direction of Service Manager, services security systems in financial, commercial, and residential areas, including security alarm systems, ATM facilities, industrial gates, fire alarms, and more in or around Columbia, and Jefferson City MO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes malfunctions in equipment and replaces or repairs defective components, utilizing knowledge of equipment operation and repair.
• Removes and replaces defective electronic, electrical, and mechanical components, such as circuit boards, wiring, switches, heaters using hand tools and following drawings and manufacturer’s manuals.
• Tests and operates equipment to ensure that defects have been corrected.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to position and employment generally.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and expectations to the benefit of the organization and co-workers.
• Productively and positively contribute to the company’s goal of maintaining a safe, healthy, productive, and enjoyable workplace.
• Accurately completes all paperwork, including timesheets, in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Minimum of two years work experience.

High School Diploma or GED

KNOWLEDGE

Preferred: Bosch, Brivo, DMP, Diebold, Hamilton, Skilcraft, Ademco, CCTV, NCR ATM’s

Will train on all technology and Devices
