JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The purpose of this job description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, duties, responsibilities, and measures of performance for the Technician at Alarm Security, Inc. The Technician is responsible for performing assigned responsibilities within the estimated time according to the scope of work and achieving quality requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• Requires two (2) years of experience in installing and servicing security systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clearly communicate with supervisors and peers, resolve issues, concerns, and answer questions related to the job as required.
• Inform supervisor of any variation from the scope of work or assignment.
• Complete all outlined responsibilities satisfactorily.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience in a similar service business (commercial and residential).
• Prefer vocational or on-the-job training in electrical or security systems service and installation.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and training in electrical or security systems (can be obtained through in-house or on-the-job training).
• Maintain good communication skills to keep open lines of communication with supervisor and peers.
• Perform all functions required for installation.
• Operate tools and equipment necessary for the job.
• Communicate effectively in English with supervisors, peers, and customers.
• Be physically capable of standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing for prolonged periods.
• Lift at least 40-60 pounds regularly, and handle parts at extreme heights, using hand tools for drilling or cutting in walls and ceilings, and climbing ladders.

DISCLOSURE

Work involves indoor and outdoor job sites with exposure to various conditions, including high temperatures, humidity, low temperatures, and snow. Travel is required in all weather conditions, including heavy rain and freezing temperatures, with typical auto travel hazards.
