Saber Health Group in Altoona, PA, is hiring a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will work in a skilled nursing facility focused on comfort, dignity, and quality care.

This full-time role offers flexible pay options including Daily Pay and Weekly Pay, comprehensive benefits, 401K, and opportunities for education and career growth. Shifts are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the state medication aide registry.
• Pass the QMA competency evaluation program if required by your state.
• High school diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled in high school.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician.
• Follow established nursing standards and facility policies.
• Work under direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides.
• Maintain accurate documentation and safety in medication management.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Shift and Wage

• Full-Time Opportunity Available
• Shifts Needed: 1st Shift, 6:00a - 2:30p
  • Includes Every Other Weekend
• Wage: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
