Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA is seeking an Airworthiness Engineer to support the AMMM Airworthiness Team. The role focuses on planning, certification artifacts, and coordination with the Nation's Airworthiness Authority to ensure aircraft readiness.

You'll work with senior engineers to manage certification processes, run technical interchanges, and participate in reviews and design analyses while traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Systems, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Three or more years of professional aero, mechanical, electrical, or related industry experience.
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain government security clearance; facility requires special access.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Airworthiness artifacts and data requirements to support Airworthiness cycles.
  • Lead data artifacts: Certification Basis, Compliance Reports, Configuration Verification Reports, Certificate of Design.
  • Coordinate internal/external discussions to agree on certification approach; host Certification Working Groups.
  • Support Airworthiness meetings, risk reviews, and design/programmatic review events.
  • Advise AMMM leadership and Nation's Airworthiness Authority on readiness to fly; travel domestically and abroad for meetings.
