Job summary

Hermeus is seeking an Airworthiness Manager to lead planning and execution of airworthiness activities for developmental and production aircraft. The role covers regulatory approvals under MIL-HDBK 516 and 14 CFR Part 25, with cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and QA to meet aggressive timelines.

The successful candidate will own cradle-to-grave certification, oversee documentation, and mentor teams on airworthiness requirements while facilitating relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Engineering preferred).
  • 6+ years airworthiness experience in aviation/aerospace.
  • Knowledge of MIL-HDBK 516 or 14 CFR Part 25.
  • Experience managing airworthiness in military and civil environments.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the airworthiness function, planning and executing compliance activities.
  • Develop airworthiness plans for development programs and certification reviews.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, test, and quality teams to meet regulatory standards.
  • Manage documentation and record-keeping for airworthiness compliance.
  • Provide training on airworthiness regulations to internal teams.
