Job summary

North State Aviation seeks an Aircraft Inspector to determine airworthiness of aircraft, engines, components and accessories. You will perform receiving inspections, in-process and final inspections per procedures and FARs, and review paperwork for compliance with Repair Station and Quality Control manuals.

The role requires an A&P cert, 5+ years on Boeing transport category aircraft, and experience with flight controls, sheet metal, and avionics inspections.

Qualifications

• A&P certification required.
• 737 GenFam course on transport category aircraft and Airbus.
• 5+ years documented maintenance on Boeing transport category aircraft.
• Experience in installation and rigging of flight controls, sheet metal repairs, avionics, or inspection.
• Must meet FAR 145.155.

Responsibilities

• Make decisions on airworthiness of aircraft, engines, components, and accessories as required.
• Conduct inspections per job cards, manuals, ADs and work packages.
• Perform receiving inspection on components, materials, tooling and hardware per manual and FARs.
• Perform RII inspections (if qualified) per procedures and maintenance program.
• Review maintenance paperwork and ensure compliance with Repair Station Manual and FARs.
• Inspect and approve final acceptance of incoming material from contracted vendors.
• Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-process and final inspections and record results.
• Ensure adherence to all RII inspection items and procedures.
• Perform other duties as Inspector; may perform other aircraft maintenance duties; note: Inspector may not buy back or inspect own work.
• Read, understand and apply Repair Station and Quality Control Manual requirements and applicable regulations.
• Utilize inspection equipment and aids for the article inspected.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
