Job summary
Merlin Labs in Rhode Island is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance and Modifications Lead to plan and oversee modifications designed by our engineers. You will ensure airworthiness, coordinate with flight operations, and manage a growing team on site.
The ideal candidate holds an A&P license, 5+ years in aviation maintenance and modification, and at least 2 years in leadership, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid A&P License.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in Aviation Maintenance.
- Must have 5+ years experience in aircraft modification.
- Must have 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to work on the hangar floor, aircraft, and in the office.
- Proficient with Microsoft and Google software suites.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute aircraft modifications designed by company engineers.
- Provide aircraft status updates and downtime forecasts to support installations.
- Plan manpower and hire modification team personnel.
- Manage subordinate modification personnel.
- Ensure aircraft remain airworthy and meet FAA procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records and logs.
- Coordinate with FAA, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
