Job summary

Merlin is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead aircraft modification and maintenance for our aviation fleet. You will supervise a team of technicians, plan modifications, and ensure compliance with FAA procedures while coordinating with engineers, flight test, and regulatory bodies.

This role requires hands-on hangar work and office oversight in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate has an A&P license, 5+ years in aviation maintenance and modification, and strong

Qualifications

• Must have a valid A&P License.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in Aviation Maintenance.
• Must have 5+ years experience in aircraft modification.
• Must have 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise aircraft modifications designed by company engineers.
• Provide status updates and downtimes forecasts for installations.
• Hire and manage modification team personnel.
• Ensure technicians are qualified and trained.
• Coordinate with external agents when needed.
• Maintain aircraft in airworthy condition per FAA procedures.
