Job summary

Ultimate Airstreams in Clackamas, OR is hiring an RV Electrical Technician to join a team focused on upgrading and customizing Airstream travel trailers. The role leverages experience across automotive electrical, plumbing and solar systems, with a path to growth within the Lithia family.

You'll work with cabinet makers, fabricators and designers to deliver high-quality installations, and provide guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• RV electrical upgrades experience.
• Experience installing Solar energy systems including panels and Victron Energy charge controllers.
• Experience with RV plumbing, RV appliances, RV heating and Air conditioning systems.
• 2 to 3 years hands-on experience in RV, automotive, Adventure Van Building or related trades.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication skills for working with Guests, Designers, shop foremen, and team members

Responsibilities

• Utilize experience in multiple disciplines including Automotive Electrical Technician or Mechanic, Plane or Boat Mechanic, Carpentry, Car Audio, Solar Energy, Low Voltage Electrician, Custom Van Builder.
• Work with team to customize and upgrade Airstream travel trailers.
• Provide excellent guest service to external and internal Guests/Team Members.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN RV ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

As an RV Technician you will utilize your experience in any of several disciplines, including Automotive Electrical Technician or Mechanic, Plane or Boat Mechanic, Carpentry, Car Audio, Solar Energy, Low Voltage Electrician, Custom Van Builder, or other skilled trades such as Electrician or Plumber.

You will work alongside our team of Cabinet makers, Metal fabricators and upholstery Team Members to customize and upgrade Airstream travel trailers like you have never seen before!. You will also strive to provide excellent guest service to external and internal Guests/Team Members to maintain Guest/Team Member relations. This is just a snapshot of what this important role provides to our team!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN RV ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

• RV electrical upgrades experience
• Experience Installing Victron Energy Components to build off grid power systems
• Experience installing Solar energy systems that include Solar panels and Victron Energy charge controllers.
• Experience with RV plumbing, RV appliances, RV heating and Air conditioning systems.
• Experience installing 12-volt Lithium-ion battery banks / 120-volt AC electrical components
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving skills
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in RV, automotive, Adventure Van Building or related trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication skills for working with Guest, Project Designers, shop foremen, and team members
• RVIA/RVDA Certified Technician, preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
• Participate in continuing education and training.
