Job summary

CI² Aviation, Inc. seeks an experienced AIC Training Supervisor to lead the Fort Bliss Airspace Information Center training program. You will oversee instruction, assess trainee readiness, and maintain qualification progress, reporting to the AIC Facility Chief and Site Manager.

This role focuses on flight following, special-use airspace coordination, and UAS support. Responsibilities include developing materials, conducting examinations, and ensuring records comply with contract requirements

Qualifications

• Three or more years controlling aircraft in Army fixed-base AIC operations.
• Previous AIC certification before employment.
• Facility qualification before performing AIC duties.
• Current Army Class IV flight physical documented on DD Form 2992.
• AIC air traffic control specialist certification documentation, including FAA Form 7220-1.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Availability for on-site contract phase-in and regular day-shift work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the AIC training program through classroom instruction and structured self-study.
• Create and update learning materials and practical scenarios addressing flight following, special-use airspace, and UAS coordination.
• Assess trainee performance, document development, and conduct position qualification evaluations.
• Keep training and qualification records accurate and current.
• Identify performance gaps and recommend proficiency or remedial instruction to the AIC Facility Chief.
• Conduct biennial written examinations and skill assessments.
• Brief the Site Manager on trainee readiness and outstanding training needs.
• Ensure employees supporting UAS functions receive instruction addressing applicable contract requirements and Army, DoD, and FAA policies.

Airspace Information Center (AIC) Training Supervisor

Position Overview

CI² Aviation, Inc. is seeking an experienced AIC Training Supervisor to lead personnel training for the Fort Bliss Airspace Information Center. The supervisor helps employees build and maintain proficiency in flight following, special-use airspace coordination, and unmanned aircraft system (UAS) support.

Working with the AIC Facility Chief and Site Manager, this position oversees instruction, assesses employee readiness, and tracks progress toward qualification.

This is a dedicated training role that cannot be combined with the ATC Training Supervisor or another contract key personnel position. Scheduled control assignments are limited to those needed to maintain operational currency under TC 3-04.15.

Work Location and Schedule

The primary work location is Biggs Army Airfield, Building 13488, with backup AIC operations at Building 11210. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays.

Contingent Upon Contract Award

This position is contingent upon CI² Aviation, Inc. being awarded the Fort Bliss air traffic control services contract. Any offer of employment and anticipated start date will depend on contract award and fulfillment of applicable contract requirements.
