Job summary

Ace Rent a Car LAX is seeking an Exit/Return Agent to manage the final vehicle checkout process for departing customers and efficiently process returns. At the airport location, you will verify rental documents, document vehicle condition, and ensure accurate fleet accountability while maintaining smooth traffic flow.

You will greet customers, inspect vehicles, record return data, explain charges, and coordinate with shuttle drivers and fleet personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in car rental, automotive, hospitality, or airport environments preferred.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Basic computer, tablet, handheld scanner, and data-entry abilities.
• Attention to detail and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at exit/return areas and verify rental documents.
• Inspect vehicles for damage, fuel level, mileage, and condition; document discrepancies.
• Direct customers to appropriate return lanes and manage traffic flow.
• Record mileage, fuel/charge level, return time, and vehicle condition.
• Explain charges for fuel, mileage, or late returns when appropriate.
• Coordinate with shuttle drivers, fleet personnel, and management.
• Secure customer belongings and follow lost-and-found procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized exit/return area and support other operational duties.
