Job description

Supervise, plan, and coordinate airport maintenance activities and operations within the Aviation Department; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public. Provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Airport Facilities Manager.

• Associate's degree in building construction or construction management;
• Five (5) years of building or facility maintenance experience;
• One (1) year of supervisory or lead experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Possession of a New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain one by the date of hire.
• Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from the date of hire.
• Ability to qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as per the policies of the Aviation Department and TSA.
• Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.

Knowledge of:

• Operational characteristics, services, and activities of an airport maintenance program
• Modern and complex principles and practices of airport maintenance
• Airport surface construction and repair
• Basic knowledge of airport operations
• Principles of municipal budget preparation and control
• Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation
• Occupational hazards and safety practices
• Pertinent laws, codes, and regulations
