Job summary

Aecon U.S. is seeking a Technical Director to lead redevelopment and transition to operations for Cyril E. King and Henry E. Rohlsen Airports in the US Virgin Islands. You will oversee architecture, engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with strategic goals.

Reporting to the CEO, you will guide project teams, interface with main contractors and authorities, and drive ORAT readiness across the lifecycle from development through operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of airport and civil infrastructure project management experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently for project execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to strategic planning.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with government agencies, airlines, and partners.
• Ensure technical development aligns with financial, legal, and operational frameworks.
• Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Oversee design development, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Manage ORAT processes and contract administration with stakeholders.
• Track schedules, budgets, risks, and opportunities; report to leadership.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and governance structures.
