Job summary

Aecon U.S. seeks a Technical Director to oversee the redevelopment and transition of the Cyril E. King and Henry E.

Rohlsen Airports in the US Virgin Islands, a major Public-Private Partnership project. You will lead the technical development from design through construction to operational readiness, manage contracts and teams, coordinate with airlines and authorities, and ensure delivery on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager for airport and civil infrastructure projects.
• Airport projects experience is required.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Willingness for frequent travel to the USVI during project execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making and planning.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with stakeholders, government agencies, and commercial partners.
• Ensure integration of technical development with financial, legal, and operational frameworks.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Lead technical project teams and governance structures.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for successful delivery.
• Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Design and present reports to stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets and progress against plans.
