Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech in Houston, TX is seeking a Stationary Engineer to maintain and repair boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, ice plant, and related systems.

The role requires City of Houston 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer License, EPA Universal License, and ability to read blueprints; candidates should have strong troubleshooting, safety, and CMMS experience. On-site work at an airport facility with rotating day/night shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Valid City of Houston 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer License required.
• EPA Universal License required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated strong technical knowledge and aptitude.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor Boilers, Chillers, HVAC, Refrigeration, Ice Plant, and all other critical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure long-term operational efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and other mechanical systems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Replace system components and adjust controls as needed to maintain and improve equipment performance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with the customer, coworkers, and management staff.
• Accept and complete work delegated by the work order coordinator, supervision, or via the CMMS.
• Maintain accurate information, logs, maintenance activities, repairs, and PM/CM documentation within the CMMS.
• Perform and verify work is completed correctly, safely, in an environmentally compliant manner, and on time.
• Perform all work in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Complete assigned projects and special work as required.
• Utilize work time effectively and efficiently to support facility operations.
• Train and mentor other technicians as needed.
• Comply with the company safety program, required trainings, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
