Job summary

Pegasus Aviation Services, an Akima company, is seeking a shuttle driver to safely operate 15‑passenger vans between airports, hotels, and authorized locations in Alaska. You will coordinate with dispatch, conduct vehicle inspections, load luggage up to 70 pounds, and ensure timely pickups in all weather conditions.

The role requires staying alert for flight schedules, following airport rules, and providing professional customer service to crew and passengers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Alaska state driver’s license; must meet insurability standards.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to obtain airport security clearance and ramp driving privileges.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 15-passenger vans on scheduled or on-call routes between the airport, hotels, and other authorized locations.
• Adjust pickup/drop-off timing in coordination with dispatch and flight schedule updates.
• Maintain communication with dispatch via radio or phone regarding assignments and routing.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts; promptly report safety or mechanical issues.
• Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for service.
• Load and unload luggage, including items up to 70 pounds.
• Greet crew members professionally and assist with boarding as needed.
• Record trip details such as passenger counts, mileage, and times, using company logs.
• Follow airport driving rules, ramp access procedures, and internal safety policies.
• Stay reachable during shifts to support dispatch coordination.
• Communicate any delays, road conditions, or hazards to dispatch and other drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager or Dispatcher.
