Job summary

The City of Lubbock seeks a sworn Police Officer to patrol Lubbock International Airport, maintain security, enforce laws, and respond to emergencies. You will conduct traffic control, investigate incidents, make arrests, testify in court, and interact with the public, tenants, and other agencies.

Patrol duties include enforcement of FAA security requirements and preservation of public safety across airport properties. A valid Texas Peace Officer's Certificate and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent and a minimum of one year of law enforcement experience, or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following:
• Current Texas Peace Officer's Certificate
• CPR Certificate
• Texas Operator's License

Responsibilities

• Patrols the airport properties to prevent crime and enforce laws and regulations.
• Provide federally mandated law enforcement response at passenger screening checkpoints.
• Perform safety and security inspections for compliance with regulations.
• Make arrests and issue citations; prepare reports.
• Respond to on-airport emergencies and incidents.
• Interact with the public, tenants, and other agencies; assist in court appearances.
• Act as on-site representative of airport management after hours.
