Allied Universal is hiring an Airport Security Officer in Kailua Kona, HI. This part-time role involves patrolling, assisting travelers, and enforcing security procedures at an airport location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and government representatives while carrying out security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner following protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, and access points to identify hazards.
• Verify credentials and monitor access to restricted areas, reporting unauthorized entries.
• Complete daily activity reports and communications per site procedures.

Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM
• Thur: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or government representatives while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required communications in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
