Allied Universal is hiring an Airport Security Officer (Part Time) in Kailua Kona, HI to provide customer service to travelers, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents according to site procedures.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ armed), a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. Schedule: DayTime Wed 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, Thu 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM; pay $25.25/hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and government representatives while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Prepare clear activity reports and shift communications per site requirements.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed01:30 PM - 10:00 PMThur01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or government representatives while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access points, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe airport activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
