Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join our airport team in Honolulu, HI as an Airport Security Officer. This part-time role offers a fixed Tue-Wed-Thurs schedule, a pay rate of $24.25 per hour, and the chance to protect travelers, visitors, and staff while delivering excellent service in a dynamic, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• English reading, writing and speaking fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and credential-controlled areas, verify authorized entry, and report access concerns to supervisors and airport personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post orders and communication protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information.

Job Schedule:

• Tue 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

Requirements:

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, operational facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and credential-controlled areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and communication protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate airport personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
