Allied Universal is seeking an Airport Security Officer: Part Time, Afternoon Shifts in Lihue, HI. You will serve and safeguard travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants by carrying out security procedures and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout airport terminals and facilities.
• Monitor access points and report any unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, coordinated manner with operations and agencies as directed.
• Prepare clear incident reports and daily activity logs per site requirements.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, airport location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, and facility concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and public agencies as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
