Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Airport Security Officer in Lihue, HI to protect travelers and staff with a friendly, service-oriented approach. You will respond to security events, patrol terminals, monitor access points, and uphold site policies while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires 1+ year of security experience, ability to pass background checks and drug screening, and a HS diploma. A valid driver's license is needed for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and airport stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout airport terminals, public areas, access points, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorized entry and reporting access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and site-specific response protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 11:00 PM

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
