Job summary
City and County of Denver, Denver International Airport, is seeking an Assistant Director of Airport Security – Compliance and Enforcement to lead critical compliance programs and drive security improvements. This on-site, 24/7 role requires strong leadership, contract oversight, and coordination with federal and local agencies to safeguard airport operations.
The position offers a competitive salary between $115,683 and $196,661 and comprehensive benefits including pension, retirement plan,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business management, communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive supervisory experience in airport operations or management.
- ACE Security certification and/or AAAE Certified Member, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance and enforcement programs, interpret federal regulations and airport security requirements.
- Lead security risk management, identify threats and operational gaps, develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide leadership for budgeting, contracts, vendor relationships, and performance management.
- Represent Airport Security in executive meetings and coordinate with TSA and other agencies.
