Job summary

Robinson-Aviation is seeking a Ramp Controller in North Charleston, SC to supervise the safe, orderly flow of aircraft on the ramp using radar-like targets and camera imagery. The incumbent works under supervision and follows established procedures to ensure timely pushback and taxi guidance.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and preferred aviation experience; candidate will be tested for drugs/alcohol per RVA policy. The position requires strong coordination with ATCT and field crews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Previous aviation experience preferred.
• Subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per RVA policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sequence and separation of gate traffic for pushback and engine start.
• Plan the arrival sequence using electronic aids to minimize delays.
• Coordinate with FAA ATCT Ground Control and gate-hold procedures.
• Provide flight crews with weather, altimeter settings and NOTAMS.
• On-the-job training to others as needed.
