Job summary

American Airlines is hiring Fleet Service Clerks at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). You will move baggage and cargo, operate belt loaders and ground support equipment, service aircraft, and position carts around ramp areas. This role requires outdoor work, irregular hours, and adherence to safety and union terms.

Starting pay is $20.63 per hour under TWU terms. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, basic computer skills, and strong communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Move baggage and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Drive and operate belt loaders.
• Service aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning.
• Tow and pushback aircraft from gates.
• Service aircraft lavatories and water ports.
• Clean interior of aircraft when needed.
• Position beverage and luggage carts around the ramp area.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Work shifts that include irregular and/or extended hours, weekends and holidays.
• Report on time to assigned station and comply with overtime requirements.
• Adhere to safety procedures, policies, and PPE usage.
