Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, services, guides, and directs customer aircraft.
• Safeguards customers' baggage, air cargo, and mail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction.
• Lifts, loads/unloads, sorts, and transfers passenger baggage, airfreight, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts safely.
• Operates pushback equipment and maintains visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
• Receives and records customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials.
• Handles cargo and baggage transport to/from aircraft and maintains related records.
• Operates and/or drives motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, pushback tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers; manually pushes and pulls carts and containers as needed.
• Completes paperwork and enters data into the company's information system.
• Performs other duties as assigned within skill and experience levels.

Qualifications

• Must be a resident of the state.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to pass a background check up to 10 years.
• At least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. as per Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Complete ramp and SIDA training for airport security ID.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items of 70 pounds or more regularly.
• Able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
• Capable of working in cramped or elevated spaces.
• Able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1+ year of relevant experience.
