Job description

Days of the week: Shift start times available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Shifts include A.M. and P.M. shifts.

Responsibilities

1. Load, unload, service, guide, and direct customer aircraft.
2. Safeguard customers' baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, and destruction.
3. Lift, load/unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts safely.
4. Operate pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
5. Record and receive customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials as required.
6. Transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, preparing related records.
7. Operate and/or drive motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, pushback tugs, baggage carts, lavatory carts, and deicers; manually push and pull carts and containers as needed.
8. Complete paperwork related to work assignments and input data into the company's information system.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned, within the scope of skills and experience.

Position: Airport Ramp Agent - DTW

Location: Detroit, Michigan

Pay Rate: $16.50/hour

Part-Time Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt

Qualifications

• Must be a resident of the state.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to pass a background check up to 10 years.
• At least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Completion of ramp and SIDA training for airport security clearance.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull items weighing 70 pounds regularly, and lift 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces.
• Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
• Ability to work in cramped or high places and carry heavy items on jetway stairs.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1+ year of relevant experience.
