Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. is hiring at Dayton International Airport for baggage handler duties. You will lift bags up to 70 lbs, assist with loading and unloading, operate ground support equipment, and prepare aircraft for the next flight.

This is an on-site position requiring shift flexibility, ability to pass security clearances, and English language proficiency. You must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license and be able to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English.
• Comfortable working with computers and mobile devices.
• Ability to operate radios for communication with crew.
• Excellent physical stamina for lifting up to 70 lbs over shifts.
• Willingness to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lift baggage/cargo up to 70 lbs throughout shifts.
• Push/pull loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading.
• Ascend/descend stairs with baggage; move and stack cargo.
• Operate ground equipment (tugs, belt loaders, bag carts).
• Clean aircraft interiors and service lavatories; read load sheets and tags.
• Prepping and securing aircraft for next flight; ensure FAA compliance.
• Communicate with co-workers and flight crew via radio.
• Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.
