Job Summary:

Responsible for marshalling aircraft in and out of gates, loading, unloading, and sorting baggage. Also responsible for cleaning the aircraft, restocking items, de-icing aircraft, carrying out inspections and hazard checks. Operate ramp equipment such as stairs and bridges.

Job Duties:

• Marshall arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp
• Perform wing walker duties to protect aircraft wings during pushback and de-icing as required
• Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts
• Operate ramp equipment like bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles
• May be assigned cabin service duties such as servicing aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabins, restocking supplies, and other related tasks
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs regulations
• Possess a valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift greater than 70 lbs, constantly lift up to 70 lbs, push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions, which may include severe seasonal elements.
