Job description

Overview

Cincinnati State is seeking a part-time Airport Ramp Agent. The role reports to the Airport Director and involves providing customer service to airport customers and performing line technician duties. The position includes responsibilities such as maintaining communication with the Airport Director regarding activities, airport or customer needs, and maintenance of airport facilities.

Essential Duties
  • Greet, park, tow, move, and marshal aircraft in the ramp area.
  • Assist with wing-walking duties as required.
  • Monitor airport air-to-ground ratio.
  • Help customers with aircraft parking arrangements.
  • Perform general maintenance, including lubing hangar doors and replacing runway lights.
  • Monitor weather and environmental conditions affecting air traffic.
  • Remove snow from walkways and ramp areas.
  • Assist flight school customers with aircraft scheduling.
  • Maintain cleanliness of ramp, building, and customer areas, including restrooms.
  • Supervise or dispense fuel as authorized.
  • Conduct fuel quality tests.
  • Invoice sales and manage monetary transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Check oil and clean windscreens on customer aircraft upon request.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule to meet airport needs.
  • Maintain fuel servicing certification after training.
  • Climb a 6-foot ladder while handling a fuel hose.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working around aircraft and airports.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
