Responsibilities
- Loads, unloads, services, guides, and directs customer aircraft.
- Safeguards customers' baggage, air cargo, and mail from weather, loss, theft, damage, and/or destruction.
- Lifts, loads/unloads, sorts, and transfers passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts in a safe manner.
- Operates pushback equipment and maintains visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
- Receives and records customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials as required.
- Picks up, delivers, and transports cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, and prepares related records.
- Operates and/or drives motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, pushback tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers; or manually pushes and pulls carts and containers.
- Completes paperwork and forms related to work assignments and enters data into the company's information system as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of skills and experience expected for this position.
Qualifications
- Must be a local (in-state) resident.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check up to 10 years.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the US as per the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Completion of ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport security ID.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds or more regularly.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Comfort working in cramped or high places.
- Ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred: One+ year of relevant experience.

- Effective verbal and radio communication skills.
- Professional communication in person and via radio.
