Job summary
City of St. Louis is seeking a Supervising Stationary Engineer at St. Louis Lambert International Airport to supervise and coordinate stationarily engineers, ensuring safe operation of boiler and chill water systems and building automation.
Responsibilities include directing maintenance at the Lambert Airport Power Plant, scheduling staff, responding to emergencies after hours, and maintaining compliance with FAA-related background requirements and a ten-year background investigation.
Qualifications
- Three years of experience as a licensed Stationary Engineer.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience accepted.
- License: Stationary Engineer (Class I or II) and valid driver’s license required.
Responsibilities
- Supervises boiler systems, loads, repairs, and inspections.
- Directs operation of building automation systems and air handling units.
- Oversees chiller load management and cooling tower maintenance.
- Directs station engineers in plant operations at Lambert Airport Power Plant.
- Schedules employee work assignments and responses to emergencies.
- Coordinates parts procurement for repairs and maintenance.
- Completes performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Oversees compliance with FAA background and eligibility requirements.
