Job summary

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Board seeks a skilled Pavement Worker to repair and maintain concrete and asphalt surfaces, including runways and taxiways. You will operate a range of heavy equipment, manage material stock, and train others in safe operations, with duties that include setup of traffic control and responding to weather-related needs.

The role requires two years of concrete/asphalt experience, valid CDL or ability to obtain one, and ATSSA certifications on a time frame set

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in concrete or asphalt repair and finish.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid Class A CDL within supervisor timeframe.
• ATSSA flagger certification or equivalent within supervisor timeframe.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Technician certification or equivalent within supervisor timeframe.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and pass medical exam.
• DOT and Airport safety sensitive position with drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Excavate, repair, and maintain concrete and asphalt surfaces including runways, taxiways, roads, and parking lots.
• Operate and train others on equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, graders, dozers, and loaders.
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices to ensure safe work sites.
• Respond to emergency situations as required by Pavements Shop.
• Inspect and report inventory and equipment status; restock as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
