Penn State Airport Attendant is responsible for fueling aircraft, testing fuels for contaminants, and ensuring safe ground operations. The role includes assisting pilots, directing aircraft, and maintaining inventory and records on a busy university airfield.

You will operate fuel farm equipment, deicing trucks, and support vehicles while adhering to safety procedures and airport manuals. The position requires correct licensing, basic PC use, and teamwork in all weather conditions.

Formación

• MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 3 to 12 months of effective experience.
• Background checks/clearances Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s).
• A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.

Responsabilidades

• Inventory fuel and oil daily and test AV-gas and jet fuel for contaminants.
• Record daily sales and quantity of fuels delivered.
• Operate fuel farm and associated equipment per established procedures.
• Assist in moving aircraft, deicing, fueling, and related ground-support tasks.
• Provide weather observations and maintain safety in the airfield operations area.
• Direct aircraft and assist pilots and passengers as requested.
• Perform housekeeping and office duties to support airport operations.
