Job summary

Penn State is seeking a full-time Airport Attendant - Grade 4 to join the airport operations team. Responsibilities include fueling, deicing, aircraft parking, safety inspections, and assisting pilots and passengers.

You will operate the Unicom weather system, maintain records, and support emergency response as required. The role requires basic trades training and 3–12 months of related experience, with rotating shifts and union-affiliated benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires use of shop mathematics and various measuring instruments.
• Equivalent to 1 to 3 years applied trades training.
• Over 3 months up to 12 months of effective experience.

Responsibilities

• Inventory fuel and oil daily and test for contaminants.
• Operate fuel farm and pumps and ensure proper grounding.
• Assist pilots and passengers and direct aircraft movement on the apron.
• Perform weather observations and log data using required equipment.
• Provide safety, maintenance, and emergency response as needed.
• Coordinate with security and outside organizations to ensure safe conditions.
