Job summary

City of Frederick is seeking an Assistant Airport Manager to support the Airport Manager in running the Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK). The role covers operations, maintenance, budgeting, compliance with FAA regulations, and public relations.

The position requires knowledge of airport funding, maintenance management, and emergency preparedness, with oversight of staff and coordination with FAA and other authorities. On-site work in Frederick, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in airport management, aviation management, or related field.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and active aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead daily management of airport facilities and operations.
• Develop and supervise operations and maintenance work plans.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and airport policies.
• Coordinate inspections and maintenance activities; oversee snow removal.
• Support public relations, budgeting, grant administration, and NOTAMS.
