Fulton County Airport is seeking an Airfield Maintenance Worker to perform routine airfield maintenance, operate tools, and maintain grounds and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus vocational training in airfield movement, and at least two years of related experience.

High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by vocational or technical training in airfield movement; two years of experience in landscape maintenance, vehicle maintenance, or equipment operation; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's license; Airfield Certification (to be obtained within three (3) months of employment).
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.

The examination will consist of an evaluation of education and experience, accomplished by analysis of the application. The purpose of this classification is to perform defined duties related to airfield maintenance at the Fulton County Airport, including maintaining the airfield grounds and providing preventative maintenance services within the airport. Airfield Maintenance Worker is distinguished from Airfield Maintenance Supervisor in that the former does not supervise assigned staff but performs routine airfield maintenance duties, whereas the latter supervises assigned staff and oversees daily maintenance operations activities.
