Job summary

Town of Addison Airport Maintenance Technicians perform regular maintenance of airport assets with a strong emphasis on workplace safety. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, duties include hangar and building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on gates and doors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years of experience maintaining and repairing facilities and/or airfield assets.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs hangar and building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing and HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled on gates, hangar doors, and other applications.
• Operates all equipment related to the maintenance and repairs of airport infrastructure (pavements, building systems, lighting, signs, markings, gates).
• Responds to, prioritizes, and completes work orders using the computerized work order system.
• Under supervision, assists in inspections and repairs of airfield lighting, including the full lighting system from regulators to bulbs.
