Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Dishwasher at the American Airlines lounges JFK location to support kitchen and facility operations with cleanliness and sanitation in food production and service areas.

You will clean equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces; assist with basic set-up and break-down tasks; and follow safety and sanitation procedures as part of a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic concepts of food safety.
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety protocols.
• Safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specified cleaning chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods; shifts may exceed 8 hours.
• Lifts up to 35 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
